The State Capital and famous hill station. It also served as summer capital & retreat of earstwhile colonial Govt. during pre independence era. The famous Mall road, Ridge, Jakhu temple, Indian institute of Advance Study, Kannady House are located in the periphery of 4 Km. of Railway station. Baba Bhalkhu Rail Museum is located at the last end of Kalka Shimla Heritage line.
